Why EFT?

Thank You Gwinganna!

Several years ago I was privileged to be a Guest Practitioner at Gwinganna Health Resort, one of the most elite health retreats in Australia, located in the Tallebudgera Valley in the Hinterlands of Queensland.

It was a week’s Detox Retreat and the 60 guests arrived on a Sunday afternoon.  At Monday morning breakfast, many announcements were made about the coming week.

I was told I had 2-4 minutes to describe EFT and why people would want to have a session with me.  After the breakfast people could sign up for the sessions they wanted with various practitioners.  Wow!

I was not a happy person at first.  How do I describe this amazing technique in 2-4 minutes?  When I finally came up with what I wanted to say I became very grateful for the challenge.  And this is what I did.

I started by saying I’m going to ask you a question.  I then asked them to tell me which of the following did NOT have an emotional component.

Trauma
Worry
Anger
Doubt
Fear
Anxiety
Depression
Pain
Rage
Sadness

I was then quiet for a few seconds and said, I don’t see any hands raised.  Can anyone tell me which of those do not have an emotional component?  Nothing happened, but they were thinking.

I then said, “You are correct.  All heavy states of mind have an emotional component and it is my direct experience with myself and hundreds of clients that, when we shift the emotional body, the physical body sometimes follows.”

I told them EFT is an easy to learn, self-empowering, non-invasive technique that has the ability to shift all the issues I mentioned and more.

I sat down.  Next thing I knew every session time I had for the entire week was filled and I was informed I had more appointments than any other Guest Practitioner had ever had.  Thank you, Gwinganna, for that challenge.

But What Is EFT?

The description of what to do is very easy and does not say a lot about the incredible success EFT often has with just about any kind of challenge.

Gary Craig, EFT’s Founder, used to say “try it on everything,” which I felt was a bit of oversell at the time, but now know it was absolutely correct.  EFT can make a difference in any issue I can think of.

Okay, so how does it work?  Basically you tap on specific energy meridian points while focusing on what you want to release.  It is almost too easy to actually do.  The training and expertise comes into how to be a great detective and tease those core issues out into the open where they can be shifted and released.

If you go to the Private Sessions portion of this website, you will learn more about how EFT actually works.

There are utube videos that show tapping points, but, while they are obviously important, there are other things that are just as important.  One of those is for your practitioner or teacher to be a great detective.  That means being able to ask gently probing questions to get to the core issue of what you are presenting.

If you would like to receive a one page document showing tapping points along with foundation phraseology, please contact me.

You Normally Tap On What You Want To Release

Many people ask,. “But why do we tap on the negative?”  The answer is that we are simply acknowledging what is already present.

It has been that stated that it is harmful to focus on the negative, and if you do that over and over again, that statement is absolutely true.  With EFT, however, we acknowledge the negative while tapping on the energy meridians with the intent to clear the negativity and bring the person and their body back into harmony and centredness.  We do not focus on the negative week after week, month after month, as EFT frequently releases issues quickly.  If someone tells you that is not possible, they have NOT experienced EFT with a professional practitioner.

What Can You Do To Learn EFT

There are many things you can do.  If you are in Australia, you can go to a training or have private sessions.  I no longer train however am happy to recommend a trainer who fits your EFT goals.

One of the wonderful things about EFT iso that you are not limited by geography in your choice of a practitioner.  I have worked successfully with clients on the phone for at least 15 years now.  Care is transmitted over the phone as is intuitive wisdom.  You can easily learn the points from the documents I send to new clients.

If you are not sure about a phone session, you can call me and we can set up a test session.  If, 15 minutes into it, you do not like what is happening, you tell me and we stop – no charge and no questions from me.

If you like learning by the written word, please know that Ann Adams EFT manuals are the best I have seen.  Her manuals are available here in Australia from me or from Amazon.  If you go through Amazon, the cost is $25 U.S. for the download, and then if you like books rather than on screen reading, you have to print it.  I charge $35 Australian for each printed manual.

Level 1 – 143 pages  $35

Level 2 – 184 pages  $35

These are truly the best reference manuals I have seen in over twenty years of EFT.
